Writing blogs!!

At the beginning, I wasn't excited about writing blogs for English class, because I'm not very good at this.  I had never written a blog before, but now I like it because I think it's fun, easy (now, because the first one wasn't) and the most important thing is that it helps us to write better in English, so in my opinion this method needs to be included in schools because it actually works!!

I think it was a relly good experience for know more about my classmates and teacher. This is my 11 post and the last one for this class, but maybe I would continue writing about my life because I really enjoy it.

At the moment, we have to write specific things, so if I had to add something, I  would like to include more topics to write in the future because everything you imagine can be written here: travels, experiences, stories. Nothing is wrong, you just have to make your imagination fly. Besides, a lot of people can read your posts and comment it and you can do the same!!!

Well that is all for now. I hope you try to post something,  you will see that you will enjoy it.
Bye!!

Best friend

Along my childhood I had a lot of best friends. I though it was necessary to have one, but today I realize that my friends are so important in my life but I don't know if I have a best friend. Some of them are closer than others, but I don't like to classify them.

If I were to talk about a good friend, that would be Vanessa. We met each other in first grade, but we are friends since 8th grade, so it will be 6 years of friendship. We sat together at school, we were to train basketball at the same club, we did a lot of things together. I consider her a really good friend because she always is there for me, she makes me laugh all time, she cares about me and we always spent  a good time. One of the best moments could be when we went to Rio Gallegos Argentina to a basketball championship, because we were in an another city only with the school team doing what we like. This trip was only four days but we had a great time!!

Now we are in diferent cities but I am in touch with her constantly, although we are busy.

I'm so happy because in this moment I'm in Punta Arenas so I can see her more often and we can do things that we use to did.

Archeology, the best subject!!!

Hi everyone!!
Today I will write about a subject I have enjoyed studing this semester.  If you have read my previous posts, you already know that I study Anthropology, and that I like a lot Archeology, so you can imagine that this one is my favorite subject.
In all the classes we see power points which contains a lot of information about history of archeology, some excavation methods, elements found in deposits and sometimes we do activities in groups.

Another activity that the teacher want we do, is going to some Archeological discoveries to have a real experience in situ, but because of the walkout, we have lost many classes, so we couldn't do the activity.

I like this subject for two reasons: The first one is because it´s the mention that I would like to take in the 3 year of the career, so to me is the begining of the content with which I will work in the future. Besides, I think it's the most dynamic subject because we will have a lot of activities in many places.

So I hope we can do all the activities that the teacher thought to this semester. It will be so fun!!!

Howard Carter

Hi everyone, I hope you enjoy my post!!!

Honestly I don't know so much about archaeologists or anthropologists, so  I can't say that I admire somebody, but  I looked for someone and I found to Howard Carter, an archaeologist and egyptologist who was born in England in 1874. He became an important man in his job when he discovered the tomb of Tutankhamun in 1922. Before that, in 1899 he was  appointed as the first chief inspector of the Egyptian Antiquities Service.

Resultado de imagen para howard carterHe continued working in the tomb of the Egyptian pharaoh until 1932 and after that, he decided to retire from archaeology but he started to work as agent for collectors and museums. He died in London in 1939 at the age of 64 years.

Anothers discovers he made were the Tombs of Thutmose I and Thutmose III, However, these had already been sacked.

As I already told you, I  met him a few minutes ago, but I decided to choose him because one of my dreams is to discovered something to big and important as he did.
